Rent-to-Own Options
Are all buildings available for Rent-to-Own?
Yes, all standard buildings qualify for Rent-to-Own. Special orders may require a cash purchase.
Do I need good credit for Rent-to-Own?
No! At Hoosier Sheds, we offer Rent-to-Own with no credit check.
How do I make Rent-to-Own payments?
You’ll receive a payment book in the mail within 30-60 days, including payment instructions. You can also pay online at rtorentals.com.
How much is the down payment?
Down payments vary by building width:

8′ wide: $100 + 1st month’s rent

10′ wide: $200 + 1st month’s rent

12′ wide: $300 + 1st month’s rent

14′ wide: $750 + 1st month’s rent
-
16′ wide: $1,000 + 1st month’s rent
Note: Wider buildings (over 12 ft.) may require extra fees for wide-load hauling and escorts.
Delivery & Setup
When will my building be delivered?
In-stock sheds are typically delivered in 7-10 working days. Custom orders or seasonal demand may extend this to 14-28 days, weather permitting.
Do I need concrete leveling blocks?
Yes, if your site is more than 8 inches out of level, you’ll need to provide concrete blocks for setup. Check the Blocking Chart on your work order for the exact number. If blocks are missing at delivery, a return trip fee applies.
Does the building need gravel or concrete?
No, just a level site. Our buildings rest on skids with treated wood blocks for leveling. If over 8” out of level, concrete blocks are required (see Blocking Chart).
What if my building won’t fit through my gate or fence?
You’re responsible for ensuring site access. Hoosier Sheds isn’t liable for altering fences or barriers.
How much space is needed for delivery?

Vertical clearance: 14′ from ground to building top on the trailer (watch for branches/wires).

Width: Building width + 2′ (e.g., 12′ wide needs 14′ clearance). Account for tight turns.
Permits & Regulations
Do I need permits or paperwork?
Yes, you must contact your local city/county for zoning, permits, setbacks, and covenants. Check with your Homeowners Association (if applicable) for neighborhood rules.
Building Specifications
What sizes are available?
We build custom sizes from 8×8 to 16×40 in 2′ increments, measured eave-to-eave (hauling limits apply).
How is the floor constructed?

Standard: 25-Year Warranty PerformMAX or Treated Plywood on 2×4 joists (8′ wide) or 2×6 joists (10′-12′ wide), 16″ O/C, notched into skids 1″.

Garages: 2×6 joists, 12″ O/C, heavy-duty.

Upgrade: Heavy-duty floor (12″ O/C) available for an extra charge.
All nails are galvanized to prevent rust.
What siding options do you offer?

LP SmartSide: Painted or urethane finish, 16″ O/C studs.

Vinyl: 16″ O/C studs.

Metal: 24″ O/C studs.

T111: Pressure-treated.

How big are the doors?

Can I customize window and door placement?
Yes, fully customizable! Contact your dealer for options (some restrictions may apply).
What roof options are available?

Metal: 10-year warranty, low maintenance (most popular).

Shingles: Architectural shingles on custom sheds.
Interior Finishing
Can I finish the inside of my shed or cabin?
Yes! For insulation, order insulated vinyl windows, insulated garage doors, or spray-in foam floor insulation (factory-applied). See brochure for pricing and note it when ordering.
Warranty
What’s the warranty on my building?

Workmanship: 6 years against defects.

Metal Roof: 10 years.

PerformMAX Floor: 25 years (industrial).

LP SmartSide: 5/50 years (decay/termites).
